Photo essays are how I make sense of a place. These are the ones worth your time — a day inside the Chernobyl exclusion zone, 36 hours on the big-wave coast at Nazaré, and the London I walk when I’m home. Each essay is presented as it was shot, and the older ones keep their original dates.

We flew to Kiev on Christmas morning dressed as Santa Claus, and spent the next day inside the exclusion zone. The series was later picked up by Stuff and ePHOTOzine.

Nazaré, Portugal — 47 frames + film

Nazaré

A tiny seaside town that happens to have the biggest rideable waves on earth. Petticoats at one end, surf pilgrims at the other, and 36 hours to photograph both.
