Projects
Individual essays live over on the photography page. This is the longer view — the projects that took more than one trip, one roll, or one year to make.
Chernobyl
A photo essay and short film from inside the exclusion zone — 44 frames from a single day in Pripyat, made on a Christmas trip that started in Santa suits at Gatwick. The project that put my work in front of a wider audience.
Nazaré
Photo essay and film from the big-wave capital of Europe, shot for Cultured Kiwi over 36 hours — the town, the water, and the strange mix of people both bring in.
London, on foot
The open-ended one: street photography and day walks radiating out from home. So far that’s an afternoon in Dalston, four days of real winter, and a walk from Ashurst to Cowden in Kent.
Cultured Kiwi
The longest-running project of the lot. What began as a blog for my travel photos is now an independent publication about 35mm film, classic cameras and photo editing software — researched, shot and written by one person. Over 200 rolls of film, 60-odd camera reviews and 30-plus editing apps tested so far, with no paid reviews and no manufacturer sign-off.
